YO! MAKKA PAKKA...
So you know the movie that is a feature on myspace? You know when you log in and it is there - "Son of Ranbow." I am so happy that it is getting coverage here. It is such an amazing movie, I watched it on the plane about a month ago, coming back from the UK. I loved it so much and have been waiting for it to come out here. Chuck from Gossip Girl has a minor part in it and he is speaking in his native tongue. That being british. You know accent. But yeah probably the best movie I have seen this year, it is hilarious and also sad at the same time.
So my point is, if you get the chance to see it, go and see it! Awesome. So this week has been really productive, have been demoing everyday and had sweet hang outs on the weekend. Valley Fiesta was so much fun, thank you to everyone that came down to see us and all the beautiful people that we met after the show. I hope the rest of your night was ace. I had a pretty good night, ended up going home after the show and going to bed. But the next day got to just hang out with my sister which I haven't done in ages - so it was good. You know those days when you have a friend over and you feel comfortable just watching movies and not having to say anything in between? Yeah it was the best.
But it has been good not having anything planned and being able to just see what the day holds. On tour you have schedules and shit and you pretty much know what you are going to do for the rest of the week ha ha. Except at festivals you can go ape shit at those. I haven't stayed in one place for this long, so I guess it's getting a bit wierd for me, like getting bored sort of - I shouldn't be, I should be happy to be home..ah well. I am going to Japan soon, so that should get rid of the whole being bored thing. Oh and another thing that I have discovered whilst having lots of time on my hands is Iggle Piggle and friends on ABC. It's a childrens show, huge in the UK.
So when we were in UK - we were stopped at a road services place and there was a book store and they had a childrens books section with bundles of those tiny books and I saw the Iggle Piggle one cause it scared the shit out of me, I was thinking to myself - if that thing came into my room at night to say hello I would probably think it was an alien and totally freak out, so I have no idea how kids have plush toys of it and stuff (same with ALF, you know that alien, I was always it was going to come to life and kill me) anyways I bought the books and it was probably the best $3 I have spent. These characters and books have so much indecent exposure and sexual innuendo, you'd think it was meant to be a joke.
One of the characters likes to sleep with rocks, it makes him happy, pinky ponk and tinky tonks' pants are always falling down. It's really strange. Anyways just when I thought it couldn't get any better, I was at woolworths in Surry Hills with my sister and I saw a DVD. The Iggle Piggle DVD. I had to buy it. It is even more sexual than the books, Iggle Piggle makes out with everyone, no shit. There is some serious boy on boy and girl on girl action too. Actually I have no idea what gender these things are, but dude, I was amazed. How could they get away with this? So much shit went down about Tellytubbies and Tinky Winky having a fucking handbag and being purple...they cancelled the show after that contraversy and now they allow and alien thing to make out with another alien thing that humps rocks?
I have no idea, but I'm glad they got away otherwise, i would not have made such an amazing discovery. Iggle Piggle brings much amusement and amazing memories ha ha. Which reminds me I need to remember to bring that DVD home from my sisters' house. Also am a total fan girl of "Skins." Another UK show, like OCesque but like ten million times more scandalous and real. It's like so bad ass. I mean I liked OC and love Gossip Girl but Skins is like it's badass bastard child, although I think it may have come before Gossip Girl. Anyways I love it and just finished watching the first season, I don't think we can get the second season in Australia, I am waiting for the day oh and the new Harry Potter movie - so excitement.
I think I have crapped on about enough shit this post, I am getting way too carried away. I hope that you are all swell. X X X
