Holy Crap!
Woaaaah!
The Rapture just got added to the Grazzhoper festival in Geelong! Mega excitement, they are so so so amazing live. I haven't seen them since V Festival 2 years ago...or was it a year ago? I can't remember. It was New Young Pony Club and then The Rapture, oh god they were amazing, so excitement. So I just found out that I am heading to the states in the next couple of weeks on my lonesome, so fucking scared. LAX by myself is going to be a mission on it's own, I remember having to go through that airport with a whole group of people and still feeling along and still managed to get myself lost. It freaks me out, so many people, so many places that you have to go and finding those places, argh I am freaking just thinking about it.
The thing I am most excited about is NYC though. I always manage to waste all my money on sneakers there, there are some amazing sneakers, i know there are amazing sneakers in Japan but they don't have the same ones as in NY. In NY they are really awesome and glitter and stuff and the markets and shops in the Lower East Side are my favourites. Sucks that I actually can't go out anywhere, I guess it will be a case of watching television, which also excites me because they have so many different tv shows and are a million years ahead on Nickelodeon and Disney channels. I remember discovering "iCarly" in NY when trying to recover from jetlag and being lazy in the hotel room. Finally it came on tv here and I'm happy. Her friend Sam is totally the best character in the show...such a smartarse but very subtle.
Also today the weather was amazing, so I decided to go into the yard and do a bit on my painting. I have nearly blocked out all three of the hands and am starting to render them now with black ink. There is so much left over space on the canvas though, I have to have a think about what I am going to fill that in with. But yeah anyways, I left everything to dry only to find that my painting had been violently attacked by the magpies that like to circle outside my house. Totally pissed! So now I have a painting with beak marks on it and talon scratches it does look kind of cool, did I mention that some insects and ants found their way onto my canvas and drowned in the paint? Yeah that happened too.
So not only do I have some cawwww caaaaw scratches in my painting if you look closely you can see dead ants. Nice. Looks kind of cool I have to agree, but I will probably go over it with another coat of paint and with all the other stuff that I have to do it. Ah well, I hope the bird is okay and doesn't have too much paint on it..I could say I hope the ants are okay but they dead. Which reminds me of a couple of years ago when I killed an ant that was minding it's own business. I instantly felt bad after cause it was running up a wall and I was kind of just watching it and then i killed it. Anyways it was still sort of alive and i kept watching and about twenty seconds later another ant came up and dragged it's body away into the little hole in the concrete where it came from.
I don't think I have knowingly killed an ant since, unless they have totally infested the kitchen and I have had to spray them with insect spray. Okay yep I'm retarded whatever. So it has come to my attention that it is school holidays. I know because there are millions of kids running around the streets losing their dogs and scraping the concrete with their scooters and screaming and crying. FUN! On a last note...I hope that you guys are all good and enjoying holidays if you have them...also to all of you that live in America...you should totally hassle all forms of radio to play us so that we can come over and tour ha ha ha. No seriously. I cannot wait to play some proper shows in the US. Would you come to a show if we booked them in NY and LA?
